Mushroom Thoran



Ingredients

  • Mushroom ( 200 gm, finely chopped )
  • Coconut  ( grated, 1 cup )
  • Shallot ( 8 nos,chopped )
  • Green chilly ( 2 sliced )
  • Cumin seeds ( 1 tea spoon )
  • Ginger garlic paste ( 1 tea spoon )
  • Curry leaves
  • Coconut oil ( 1 table spoon )
  • Turmeric powder ( 1 table spoon )
  • Pepper powder ( 2 table spoon )
  • Garam masala ( 1 tea spoon )
  • Chilly powder ( 1 tea spoon )

Process

Marinate mushroom with salt and turmeric powder for 10 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.

Add shallots, chillies and ginger garlic paste.

Fry it for few minutes.

Add curry leaves, chilly powder, pepper powder and garam masala in to it.

Add mushroom in to it and saute for few minutes.

No need of adding water, water is released from mushroom during cooking .

Grind coconut and cumin seeds.( not too much grinded )

Add coconut mix in to mushrooms and mix it well.

Cook it until it becomes dry.

Serve with rice, chappathi etc
